Q: What makes Solarsuits different from other Sun Protective Suits?

Solarsuits are made of a unique chlorine resistant fabric (called Chloresistâ„¢) which resists the damage caused by chlorine, washing detergents and sunlight. This means that your child's suit will keep its shape and colour, giving the same high-level of sun protection and satisfaction ongoing. Chloresistâ„¢ is not only durable but supple too, and will shape and stretch itself to give superb comfort and fit, in and out of the water. Solarsuit is also the major supplier to Australia's State Cancer Organisations for sun protective swimwear and clothing and has been supplying them for the past 12 years. So not only will your child be getting excellent protection from a top quality suit, they'll also love our wide range of styles, colours and prints too. Note that our Solarcool range of products for adults and teens also have the same sun-protective qualities.

Q: How can I best look after my Solarsuit items?

There are full care instructions on the interior garment labels. We suggest you rinse your Solarsuit in cold fresh water after it has been worn. Use a mild detergent and hand wash in warm water as necessary. Allow it to dry completely before you put it away.

Q: How can I make sure that the item I order is the correct size?

Q: What are the sun-protective properties of Solarsuit?

Solarsuit is the major supplier to Australia's State Cancer Organisations (including the Cancer Council of ADT http://www.actcancer.org/) for sun protective swimwear and clothing and has been supplying them for the past 12 years. Solarsuits have a sun-protective rating of UPF50+ which means that they have the highest resistance to the Sun's UVA/UVB rays. More than 1850 Australians die every year from skin cancer which is often an entirely preventable disease. Protecting children during their early years can dramatically reduce the risk of skin cancers in later life. Wearing sun-protective swim/activity wear while outdoors can certainly help reduce this risk.

Q: Do I need to use sun cream under the suit?

No, there's no need to apply sun cream under the suit. We do strongly recommend though that you apply sun cream to exposed limbs and face. Don't forget the back of the neck too if your child isn't wearing one of our sun protective hats.

Yes, Solarsuit.com.hk ships Worldwide.

Q: How long does it take for shipping?

Orders are shipped within 48 hours of receipt of payment and usually take 3 to 10 working days to arrive at the destination. Please provide your telephone number in the order form which we then include in the "To" field of the shipping forms. This can help expedite delivery to the recipient address should problems occur in the destination country.

Q: How are products shipped?

We ship using the Hong Kong Post Courier Service. This service provides a tracking number for you to follow the progress of your shipment online. This number will be emailed to you with your order confirmation at the time of completing an order.

Q: How much do I pay for shipping?

We have one shipping fee for orders within Hong Kong and another for orders shipped internationally. Within Hong Kong we charge HKD40 and for international shipments we charge HKD170. We may increase the shipping charge for large numbers of items in the same order. The standard shipping fee will only change for orders with more than 8-10 items. We will contact you by email to confirm additional shipping charges before the order is shipped.

Q: What happens if my product does not arrive?

If an item fails to arrive within 15 working days then please contact us. We will do everything we can to find the location of the item via its tracking code and/or ship a new item (same size & colour) immediately to you.

Q: Can I buy items that are currently not in stock?

Yes. If an item you wish to purchase is out of stock we shall endeavor to source the item for you as quickly as possible. You can either send an email to info@solarsuit.com.hk to request the item specifically or simply sign up to our newsletter to be notified automatically when new product collections and more stocked items are available.

Q: What if the item I received is not what I ordered or is damaged or faulty?

On the very rare occasion that a customer receives an incorrect, faulty or defective item, please return is to us within 14 days of receipt. If the item is faulty, we may repair or replace the item at our discretion, provided we are satisfied that the fault or defect was caused by defective workmanship or faulty materials. Please return the items unworn, with the original labeling, with a description of the fault or defect. You will pay for the cost of return; we will pay for the shipping cost of the replaced goods back to you. Please allow 10 working days for your order to arrive back to us and another 10 working days for the replacement item to be delivered to you.

Q: Can I return the item I ordered and exchange for another?

Should you wish to change your order after your payment has been processed, then contact us immediately at info@solarsuit.com.hk. If the order has not been sent we can change it for you. Once an order has been dispatched we are unable to cancel or vary an order.

Q: How can I pay?

All payments are processed in US$ on the PayPal website, either via a PayPal account or via a Credit Card. The Credit options for payment are; MasterCard, Visa and American Express. Payment will be debited from your card/PayPal account before dispatch of the goods you have purchased. All payments are processed securely by PayPal using encrypted data processing and secure servers.

Q: Who pays the import taxes/duties for items I have ordered?

The customer is solely responsible for any customs duties and/or VAT payable at the destination country. For destinations outside of Hong Kong, there will be customs declarations on the shipment package indicating the invoice value and that the package contains 'clothing'.

Q: Is my personal data safe when shopping on Solarsuit.com.hk?

Yes. We are extremely committed to protecting your privacy. Your payment information is stored on secured servers and is only used by us to fulfill the orders you have placed with Solarsuit.com.hk. Your email address and other contact details are also secured and will never be sold or shared with 3rd parties.
